We are constantly seeking practical links with well known artists and designers. Every so often we come across something very special.
In collaboration with Polish artist and designer, Anna Spakowska, these unique individually made wall panels consist of high quality and sustainable materials, primarily wool. Combined with a curved surface, they are very effective, particularly with the unique structure of wool, in absorbing noise and balancing out acoustics. .
A standard panel 4.5 square metres square, will comprise 9 constituent pieces which combine seamlessly into one homogeneous surface. Panels can be custom made to any size.
One such panel can be an outstanding single and colourful feature on a wall. In terms of acoustic performance, the artist is willing to advise.
Each panel, independent in its own right, is truly aesthetically appealing. Its three dimensional surface creates a beautiful light-shadow effect which will be perceived differently
from various angles.
These acoustic art panels are made using only natural materials – high quality wool, wooden frames, linen and cotton. No glue is used, all pieces are carefully prepared and stitched by the the artist herself.
A panel is flame-retardant and resistant to staining, thanks to a protective wax coating. It has a naturally high level of UV protection and picks up less dust as wool is naturally anti-static.
The process of creating a panel always starts with making cuts & folds into beautiful shapes which when assembled together create unique patterns. This is where the true artistry comes in.
