On the 14th of April, Romanian pianist Alexandra Dariescu joins Bath Philharmonia under the direction of Jason Thornton on the stage of Bath’s spectacular Theatre Royal for a performance to include Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 24 alongside Beethoven’s 4th Symphony and Mendelssohn’s Hebrides and Fingal’s Cave. Alexandra studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and has recently made her debut at Carnegie Hall, as well as hvaing performed at the Bridgewater Hall, the Barbican and on BBC Radio 3. Bath Philarmonia is one of the South West’s leading professional orchestras, and are fast becoming known for both the high standard of performance and for their innovative approach to programming.
