Peter Maly has teamed up with Sauter to create a range of dynamic design pianos. Sauter are a German piano manufacturer with 200 years of experience, making them one of the oldest piano manufacturers in the world. The combination of their delicately crafted pianos with the designs of Peter Maly make for a truly exciting new range of pianos, one which marks a big step in piano design. We are lucky to have two of the pianos from this range in our showroom: the Vitrea 122 and the Rondo 122.
The Vitrea 122
The Vitrea 122 is named after the Latin word for glass, as this piano features a glass front cabinet. The dynamic contrast between the warm, dark wood of the body and the cool green glass makes this piano striking in any space, especially where there is an abundance of light. This piano also features chrome hardware and the contrast of this with the glass panels reveals the design inspiration from modern architectural building materials.
The Rondo 122
The Rondo 122 is very different in design to the Vitrea. This piano focuses on elegant curves, creating an instrument that is also a very stylish piece of furniture. The Rondo 122 is designed to look almost as if it is floating, standing on two simple stainless-steel cylinders. The appearance is modern, striking and full of character. The Rondo comes in two different finishes: black gloss and wenge satin.
Both pianos feature the “Sauter Spherical Concavity®” variation to their soundboards, giving them the Sauter tone we know and love. Each piano from Sauter is handcrafted and these two pianos are no exception, providing you with an instrument that has been built with quality materials and attention to detail.
