Here at The Piano Shop Bath we are very much looking forward to the upcoming Bath International Music Festival, taking place Friday 15 to Tuesday 26 May 2015. Every year, the festival is kicked off in earnest with Party in the City, a night where hundreds of local musicians and artists perform across the city for free. You can expect to hear everything from swing, soul and blues to classical, ska, jazz, rock, pop and more. Party in the City will be happening on Friday 15 May 2015.

Bath International Music Festival 2015 has an exciting program of fine classical music, contemporary jazz, world and folk music. Piano highlights (which we always like to look out for!) include Steven Osborne – Artist in Residence, young virtuoso Ji Liu, and a first-ever double billing of the superb jazz pianists Jason Rebello and Gwilym Simcock.
Some great international artists are also on show: the world reknowned South African trumpeter Hugh Masekela with his band Helele, the award-winning Alash Ensemble, Masters of Tuvan throat singing, and the great Sir Willard White whose voice has been the mainstay of opera houses and concert halls for 40 years.
General booking opens on Tuesday 24 March and all details can found by clicking here.
