The K15E is the only piano in the Kawai range with a ‘small modern’ or ‘Continental’ style case – without front legs, and is the entry level member of the K Series, though of course the quality of build and finish is to the usual Kawai high standards. This model is available in Polished Mahogany and Gloss Black (pictured below).
Kawai’s ‘Ultra Responsive’ action, as used in this piano, is suited well to young players requiring a lighter touch to develop their technical abilities but also to experienced players who prefer a lighter, more responsive action. The tone is very well rounded for a piano of this size and price, clear and precise but warm enough to give the full tone usually associated with a larger instrument. The practice pedal works well and is a very useful feature on a piano likely to be used for endless hours of scales…
