Sauter is a German company, established in 1819 by Johann Grimm who was trained in Vienna by Johann Andreas Streicher (craftsman of Beethoven’s instruments). In Vienna he learnt the ways of true craftsmanship and developed a passion for manufacturing pianos to a very high standard. With over 200 years of experience, Sauter are one of the oldest piano manufacturers in the world still in operation. They manufacture all their pianos in Germany, using only German parts. Each piano is made to order and the time taken to produce each individual instrument is reflected in its clear tone and responsive touch.
The Carus 112 features the ‘Sauter Spherical Concavity®’ which is a unique variation to their soundboards. It is made from spruce wood selectively sourced from the low mountain ranges in the Alps. This wood is both hard and flexible, which allows for vibrations and produces rich overtones, enhancing the depth of the sound. As a result there is a real warmth in the bass register of the piano, an unusual aspect from a smaller sized piano.
This piano is perfect for all pianists, from beginners to accomplished performers, looking to further their playing. For more information on the Sauter Carus 112 please call our shop on 01225 427961, or pop in to try this wonderful piano for yourself.
