Teaching Details

I teach mainly classical but also popular music as well. I have over 30 years of teaching experience with children and adults of all ages and levels.
If you want to take exams you may like to know that I have put many students in for ABRSM exams with a 100% success rate, most achieving a merit and above.
My approach is quite holistic. I aim not just to be a piano teacher but teach strategies for learning the piano that can be transferred to other areas of learning, and encourage a resourceful and positive way of thinking and learning. Confidence is also key and I like to balance the confidence giving with challenging, fun and engaging pieces.
I teach both at my home and in students own homes if practical. I also offer a free 30 min lesson for us both to meet and decide if we are happy to continue.
