High quality German and British pianos from 1880 to 1940 are among the finest ever made, and are of such quality that, after a thorough restoration by our dedicated team of restorers, they will continue to play beautifully for decades to come. At The Piano Shop in Bath, we always keep a good selection of thoroughly restored pre-war British and German pianos, both uprights and grands, usually including at least one fully restored pre-war traditional John Broadwood piano and often a good post-war small modern upright piano.
This 1914 ‘Green-Frame’ John Broadwood piano has a warm, typically British tone with a clear, brilliant treble, and a light- to medium-weight action with grand-style ‘front weighted’ keys, which can truly sing in the hands of an expressive player. This piano in our piano showroom in Bath has beautifully refurbished ivory keys, transforming a very good piano into a delight to play, with a painstakingly refinished case in a rich mahogany finish. This John Broadwood piano has been fully and comprehensively restored in our piano workshop.
Our piano showroom in Bath is open seven days a week, some drop by as this John Broadwood piano must be seen and played to be fully appreciated!
