This Yamaha grand piano is a wonderful example of high quality, all-Japanese engineering. The DC3A model is well regarded, 6 foot grand piano from Yamaha’s Conservatoire/C series of grand pianos. The C series are specifically designed for advanced piano playing and built to withstand the rigours of professional piano performance. They are a regular feature of the concert platform and can be found in most conservatoires across the world.
The DC3A model measures 6 foot in length, ensuring a deep resonant tone that has warmth and clarity. Its size makes it ideal for larger living spaces and practise studios. The action is a light to medium touch and feels especially quick under the fingers, allowing for fast, intricate, music to be played with ease.
This piano has been fitted with a Mk III Disklavier Self Playing System. This allows you to play the piano silently with headphones or have it on in the background playing itself, giving a performance without a pianist! With speakers placed underneath the body, you can also play along with pre-programmed backing tracks. Other features include recording and playback of synchronous audio tracks and playback of specially encoded CD-ROM disks from a built-in CD player.
