We have been really spoilt here at the Piano Shop Bath in terms of Steinway pianos. You might remember only a few months back when we released our restored Steinway Model O Grand Piano to the showroom floor, which you can see by following this link. We have now acquired another Steinway Model O, and this might just be even more beautiful.

You can see from the close ups that this has some beautiful wood work and veneer to behold. A highlight is the music stand which has been intricately carved to display the Steinway logo. Of course, the really exciting part is the tone and action, which even when out of tune is displaying some fantastic qualities. The action is super quick and very responsive, while the tone is extremely clear and sonorous, particularly in the bass strings.

We are letting our experienced restoration team take over to clean and restore this piano to a concert playing level. Watch this space! We’ll provide an update when it has arrived in the showroom so you can see for yourself what a wonderful instrument it is.
