The CL Series instruments are the base models in the Kawai digital piano range, and provide a solid introduction to the Kawai range at an attractive price.
The ‘Advanced Hammer Action IV’ keyboard action, as featured in the CL26 digital piano, replicates the feel of an acoustic piano with a high degree of accuracy for an instrument of this size and price. As with all Kawai digital pianos, the piano sound is painstakingly sampled from the range-topping Kawai EX acoustic concert grand piano. In addition to the high quality piano sound, the CL26 has 7 extra sounds, as well as a metronome and the option to transpose and to adjust the touch-sensitivity to suit personal preference. The sustain pedal is a separate unit, keeping the instrument light and compact.
The CL36 features the same Kawai EX concert grand sound samples as the CL26, but has Kawai’s improved ‘Responsive Hammer’ keyboard action, which replicates an acoustic piano’s touch and tone with even more refinement, making the CL26 a suitable instrument for even the most advanced players. The CL36 also features 14 additional sounds, an integrated pedal board with three grand-style pedals (soft, sustain and sostenuto) and a built-in recorder allowing the practicing pianist to record their playing and listen back, a useful practice feature.
We recommend CL Series digital pianos to anyone looking for a serious instrument with an authentic piano sound, compact dimensions to fit the smallest room with ease and an affordable price, without the complication of numerous extra features. We usually keep both CL models in stock, so why not visit our showroom and try one for yourself?
