On March 28th, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales take to the stage of Cardiff’s Hoddinott Hall under the direction of their conductor laureate Tadaaki Otaka for a concert of 20th Century orchestral music, including Panufnik’s Katyn Epitaph, Benjamin Britten’s famous Double Concerto and Lutoslawski’s Concerto for Orchestra. The performance will feature Adam Walker on flute, Lawrence Power on viola and Anthony Marwood on the violin. The National Orchestra of Wales have proven themselves capable of tacking such challenging morderm repertoire with aplomb, and this concert promises to be a masterclass in 20th Century music.
