The CL Series instruments are the base models in the Kawai digital piano range, and the Kawai CL36 provides a solid introduction to the Kawai range at an attractive price.
The Kawai CL36 features the same painstakingly sampled Kawai EX concert grand piano sound as every Kawai digital, and uses Kawai’s improved ‘Responsive Hammer’ keyboard action, which replicates an acoustic piano’s touch and tone with even more refinement, making the CL36 a suitable instrument even for more advanced players. This keyboard action, together with the IvoryTouch keytops and the high quality sound sample, make the CL36 an instrument for the serious pianist, at an entry-level price. The CL36 also features 14 additional sounds and a built-in recorder allowing the practicing pianist to record their playing and listen back, a very useful practice feature. The sound from the inbuilt speakers is impressive for a digital piano of this size, and of course this instrument features the ever-useful headphone jack. The CL36 is the first model in the Kawai range to include a full integrated pedal board with three grand-style pedals (soft, sustain and sostenuto), though the slimline case (available in black or white) is still very compact.
We recommend the CL36 digital piano to anyone looking for a serious instrument with an authentic piano sound, compact dimensions to fit the smallest room with ease and an affordable price, without the complication of numerous extra features. We usually keep both CL models in stock, so why not visit our showroom and try one for yourself?
The Kawai demonstration video below is in German but it includes some well-played musical demonstrations of the CL36’s capabilities.
