When we opened The Piano Shop Bath almost a year ago we brought in a Reid-Sohn white grand piano for our window display, as a bit of a signature feature for us – every day we see people noticing it from their cars! Since then, though, we’ve noticed a considerable demand for a white grand piano from as far afield as Wales and the Midlands and we’ve gone through quite a few Reid-Sohn pianos! So here’s a bit about them:
Reid-Sohn is a brand name of the Samick piano company and the instruments are built to a high standard in their Korean factory. The entry-level grands we stock are extremely well-priced for what we find to be a well-built, quality piano, and one of the few baby grands available in a good gloss white finish. They have a bright, lively tone with a brilliant treble and powerful bass, and a light- to medium-weight action, suitable for beginners through to accomplished players. Ok, white grand piano may not be to everyone’s taste, but the Reid-Sohn is a quality instrument with a touch and tone which belies its entry-level price. Also available in black…
